Looking for a New Facilitator for Sandwich Making:

All Saints, and more recently, with the help of our FCC siblings, have been making meat and cheese sandwiches for over the past six years. ASEC and FCC members have funded both the ingredients and labor service to prepare these sandwiches after Sunday services. These sandwiches are prepared and delivered to St. Vincent’s Dining Hall where they are given out to people experiencing homelessness. We initially started off making about 200 sandwiches a month; now we are delivering about 600 a month. This ministry persevered even through the pandemic. In some cases, sandwiches were prepared twice a month since the demand was so high.

Over this period, Ian Andrews has been involved in facilitating this effort, which includes sourcing, purchasing, picking up supplies, setting up tables and food plates for the sandwich prep on Sundays.

In short, starting in 2025, he would like to pass the banner on to someone else to facilitate this effort. Many members in both our respective churches have indicated they believe this to be a valuable ministry and should be continued. Please consider stepping up to the plate to take this on. A detailed description of the effort can be found HERE.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please contact Ian.
